The context behind Precious Pearls Youth Outreach Organization is the concept of a pearl’s development. The molding process of a pearl is one that requires patience, delicate construction, and guidance to help bring about its existence.
Through this organization, a group of phenomenal female mentors serve as the “Master Pearls” that assist in the development of the precious pearl. The developmental process consists of incorporating our five pillars into each presented workshop to mold the young ladies involved and impacted by each session. Each lady involved will have the courage, tools, and leadership experiences to thrive in the world around them.
They will one day be able to present themselves as something unique, precious, bold, empowered and courage, and give back through their shared experiences as their life progress. Every concept tied to Precious Pearls is deeply rooted in a biblical context and brought about to help mold young female leaders.
Our purpose
The purpose of Precious Pearls is to provide guidance, love, support, and shared valued experiences with aspiring young female leaders. Through our shell development, young ladies will develop confidence, self-love, and empowerment.
Upon completion of precious pearls, young females will have the courage, tools, and leadership experience to thrive in the global community.
In order to truly answer why this organization came into existence, I travel back to the year 2013. I like to describe that year as my year of preparation and strenuous times. Everything that was near and dear to me, my career, aspirations, and finances, that were once familiar to my journey, was on the verge of being taken from me. It was in that year that I was acclimated to the knowledge of God’s divine order in my life. In that year of transition, he placed a few things on my heart to act upon. One of them being an organization that was unlike any other. It would come to pass at the beginning of 2014 when I received the vision for the organization and it’s components from the creator himself. It was as if someone had handed me an unwritten book and instructed me to fill in the pieces day by day. That entire planning process came to complete fulfillment in March of 2014 and today it has an ever growing presence in the communities it impacts.
Throughout my undergraduate tenure, I had the opportunity to be involved in several organizations, on and off campus that exposed me to great mentors, and incredible young ladies in need of guidance and a helping hand. Even with my involvement, there was still something missing. I wanted more from youth outreach organizations, I wanted a change that was elegantly structured. Through countless hours of planning, applying critiques from various colleagues and professionals, and most importantly allowing God to use me as an open vessel for his vision to become a reality.
Now when I’m asked why was this organization started, I am excited to proclaim that it was a vision placed on my heart by God. Through the combined experience of myself and my members, both good and unfortunate,we’re able to assist in molding a girl into a young pearl, by guiding and molding her through wisdom and admiration, further catapulting her to become a guiding light in the global community around her.
This organization was created to inspire, uplift, and challenge other ladies, young and seasoned, to become a guiding light in the life of a young pearl and to build character as a result of shared wisdom. Not only it is an organization whose expertise include empowering young ladies, but it’s a faith based organization. From my short excerpt, you’re able to see that it wasn’t my vision, but rather an amazing God who gave it to me. The definition of visionary is thinking about or planning the future with imagination or wisdom. It is certainly through God’s divine order for my life, that I was graced with the opportunity to be used by him. I don’t take this opportunity likely and I only pray that you will allow God to use you in the same manner. Welcome to the website and have an amazing day!
As I step forward in front of a group of middle school girls, some apprehensive and others inattentive, I begin to speak about the organization. After I begin my presentation, I’m asked by one of the girls what prompted me to start Precious Pearls. I turn to her with a smile and as I'm formulating the words to say, I take a moment to reflect. In that moment for life, I feel a sense of gratitude, compassion, humility, and a sincere admiration for the incredible God I serve. It’s amazing to think that for some reason he chose me to bring forth this vision, brainchild, and precious organization, that was intricately designed by the master himself. Now, back to the question and the little girl patiently awaiting a response. I suddenly open my mouth and begin with to answer the question.
